Why it made our list
Why we picked OXO Brew Conical Burr Grinder.
A burr grinder gives you a repeatable setting to return to when you brew the same coffee each morning. OXO’s model pairs conical burrs with stepped grind adjustment and a one-touch start that remembers the previous setting. It is a useful step up from timing a basic blade grinder when you want more control over the grind for your brewing method. It still requires dialing in and routine cleaning.
A good fit if…
People who brew whole beans regularly and want adjustable, repeatable grinding.
Check these first.
- Check the adjustment range against your particular brewer, especially for espresso.
- The hopper’s 12-ounce capacity does not mean beans must be stored there long term.
- Clean according to the manual; do not wash powered components or burrs indiscriminately.
- Allow counter space and access to the hopper and grounds container.
Our recommendation, in context.
The best setting depends on the coffee, dose, and brewing method, so treat a suggested setting as a starting point. If precise espresso adjustment is your main goal, compare the grinder with your machine’s requirements rather than assuming any fine setting is sufficient. Grinding only what you need and cleaning retained grounds can make the daily routine easier to repeat. This is a coffee grinder, not an all-purpose wet-food processor.
